Materials

Choosing the right material is one of the most important parts of designing a product that will spend years on a motorcycle. For our Honda Goldwing accessories, we use ASA, an engineering-grade plastic selected for its outstanding resistance to UV light, heat, and outdoor weather. Unlike standard plastics commonly used in consumer 3D printing, ASA is designed to maintain its strength, color, and appearance even after prolonged exposure to sunlight and changing weather conditions.

ASA is significantly more demanding to print than basic materials, requiring controlled temperatures and careful tuning to achieve consistent, high-quality results. We believe the additional time and effort are worthwhile because they produce a product that is built for real-world motorcycle use.

Manufacturing

Every product is manufactured in-house using professional-grade 3D printing technology. This gives us complete control over quality, allows us to continually improve our designs, and enables us to produce parts on demand instead of relying on large production runs.

3D Printing

We manufacture every product using high-quality FDM 3D printing. While 3D printing is often associated with prototypes or hobby projects, modern equipment and engineering-grade materials make it an excellent manufacturing method for durable end-use products. Every part is produced layer by layer with carefully optimized print settings and design choises to achieve consistent strength, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality.

How It Impacts Production

Unlike traditional manufacturing methods that require expensive tooling and large production volumes, 3D printing allows us to manufacture products only when they are needed. This significantly reduces costs while giving us the flexibility to improve designs whenever we identify an opportunity for refinement. Instead of waiting for the next production run, improvements can be implemented immediately, ensuring every batch benefits from the latest design revisions.

Our Design Process

Our products are not simply designed and then 3D printed. They are designed specifically for 3D printing from the very beginning. Every model is engineered around the strengths and limitations of additive manufacturing to maximize strength, improve surface quality, minimize support material, and create the cleanest possible appearance. Every design goes through multiple prototype iterations and real-world testing before it becomes part of our product lineup.
